A tall, dark gray mackerel tabby tom with pale yellow eyes and unusually long tail. He is the tall, dark and handsome type - definitely a heartthrob - but the demeanor and eyes that read 'back off.' Midnightcurrent speak with a slight Belarusian accent due to descending from a foreign kittypet and was tri-lingual in his kithood in both English, Belarusian and Russian but due to the change in geography has lost the need to speak Russian and still speaks Belarusian although in increasingly rare visits with his spread out family. His mother moved with her twolegs getting quite the culture shock when she couldn't understand any of the other cats except through basic body language. By a year's time she broke through the langue barrier with the help of other kittypets and the moment her twolegs found a veterinarian she knew it was a matter of time and jumped at the chance to have kits. Although none too pleased with clever she-cat цёмны or 'Dark' was born with his littermates where eventually their mother shooed them out to be free but his other two siblings returned and were subsequently caught and ended up in twolegs homes.
"Yours and my friends came to dance"
While they all still sparsely visit one another, Dark learned he needed to get away and survive on his own at an early age. For better or worse he's had a vibrant, but wild ride as his youth was rather unstable upbringing after leaving and a fear of everything secretly ate away inside him - but he was young and invincible and could ignore it all with the other wild childs of the streets. A certain ally cat caught his eye and they befriended each other, it was all so great and exciting so long as there were others but then the ally cat had an episode.
"What a pity I can't dance"
'Hey, you listening?' he remember the words right before it all; the blank stare was looking far past him as her body slowly slumped into him and began seizing. 'Somebody help me!' he recalled those faithful words that snapped the rest of them out of the daze some just leaving while two tried to help lay her down, but her head- he laid his side under her until the fits stopped, possibly lasting minutes or a lifetime. One she-cat stroked a paw over head mumbling soothing words and eventually they got her to talk. She knew it might happen in front of them one day, she just hoped it wouldn't. Their other friends gone, not that much rag-tag groups lasted long anyways, and shrank to a trio, then eventually just the two of them. His personality harden that day. What jerks, but he wasn't going to leave her. He would stay forever or so he wanted but forever is a long time, and she only got worst. What was he going to do the day she didn't 'wake up' or remember anything right anymore? He stayed near the nice veterinarian place his family had been to and when they started to become too frequent - he gave her up. He didn't know if he would ever see her again but he knew he never could. The twolegs were nice, no matter what happened, she would find a better place without him. It was both a hollow and relieving experience to find himself so alone and to be released from built up anxiety and fear - it wasn't up to him anymore and he didn't need to know, nay he didn't want to know the outcome. He spent his remaining youngster days revisiting, reliving, reflecting. Guess he was too old for silly kit behavior and wild rag-tag groups. Guess he lost a little of his spark. Guess he didn't feel the need to be around others so much anymore. Guess he had to grow up some day.

Maybe it was selfish of him, maybe he abandoned her too in the end, but he swore he his family described a cat looking just like her and that was enough. Although it distracted him for days on end until he felt the sudden force bare down on him; searing pain and hot breath as a fox bit him and he struggled for dear life to just get free. She saved his life that day from being killed by a fox, he knew he owed his life to the beautifully dangerous Yarepawn before him and pledged an undying loyalty to her ever since. Maybe it started as a debt to be repaid but two seasons have passed and he's still here, still not listening to any cat other than Yarepawn. These were more than just misfits without cause to him, there was structure and order but most of all there was a family and love among them. Be it Sugar/Paradisepromise's care, Dragonbone's selflessness, Viridianisle's camaraderie or even just Guppysplash's hugs. There's a family here, one that protects and never abandons and just when he thought he swore off of groups, he's already to give his life for each and every one of them. Most cats give him a wide berth due to his stormcloud personality and sharp claws. Always looming overhead, ready to bring a storm of negativity upon you at any time, it's clear why he's not everyone's cup of tea, more like lemonade for that matter. With a tinge of gloomy depth, but quick to snap giving a sudden bite you knew might be there but weren't sure of. You can sense his underlying problems in it's dry, bitter aftertaste and if it wasn't so appealing on the surface given his good looks, and having a strong resonance with any fellow emotionally-numb soul - it would make you wonder why anyone would be dumb enough to drink it knowing there's a chance of a harsh burning sensation awaiting. In truth, though, he’s a very misunderstood tom who deeply wants more friends and a family but is terrible at communication and has a tendency to say exactly what’s on his mind without any filter.
