Sep 23 2016, 6:20 PM EDT | Post edited: Sep 27 2016, 11:14 PM EDT So basically The Pastel family is completely made up by me, and will be known for their combat, skills, unique tattoos, and maybe originating as exclusive Hunters that today have some decedents who are supernaturals/etc causing heavy feuds as if being enemies wasn't already a big thing, they vaule loyalty too so non-human Pastels are immediately considered disowned and traitors. This leaves a few like, Rise and her brother, who happen to be two people who are born mutants (maybe one parents was mutant) and their parents are killed because of this but grow up generally safe. Rise, the younger siblings stays under the wing of the queen, where her older brother knows who killed their family and is fueled with vengeance and general instability, making him and 'Uncontrolled' or M.D.O. often leaving Rise in an awkward position between trying to protect him when he's more than okay with hurting everyone around her, but won't harm Rise herself. Rise has a few cousins she able to talk to, Gauge, Vao, (Vao's sister), and a (dangerous cousin) who is a threat to them and well everyone else. What's this? Surprise comes to Rise when she finds out members of the Pastels are experimenting on becoming mutants, etc. They seem to see the obvious advantage but still want to hunt down the 'traitors' or any supernatural Pastel without a specific mark. It's a never ending fight. FEEL FREE TO MAKE A 'PASTEL' JUST SLAP ON THAT LAST NAME AND THERE YOU GO. Sep 23 2016, 6:25 PM EDT | Post edited: Sep 25 2016, 1:07 AM EDT Breif descriptions: RISE - pretty much explained - mutant - 'traitor' (brother) - pretty much explained - mutant - 'traitor' GAUGE - a healer, one of first and few Pastel to be experimented and a 'non-traitor' mutant - mutant - 'non-traitor' VAO - a scout, messenger, traveler between Pastels and allies - maybe mutant - 'non-traitor' WREN (vao sister) - you can make it up - maybe mutant - 'non-traitor' (dangerous cousin) - you can make it up, just you know make them dangerous, and they can be a 'traitor' who becomes mad because of it, or they can be 'non traitor' who just is crazy and slowly becomes more murderous, etc.

8. Sep 24 2016, 7:18 PM EDT Alrighty, aside from staying his sister you can write her character anyway - her name was Wren in case that confuses you, but again you can change that. I haven't determined if he, and therefore his sister, will be mutant here with powers because they're already so many mutants and I already want Rise and her brother to be ones. If you want to give her powers you can - I'm going to think Vao over a lot before I decide.

Sep 24 2016, 8:21 PM EDT | Post edited: Sep 24 2016, 8:22 PM EDT ikr I do to - that why I just had to accept them based on the name alone ;u; As for the powers, depending on how things go with how we determine powers are passed, then if they're parents were a human and mutant, then Vao could not have powers and be human, but Wren could have powers and be a mutant. I might have Vao be human and be a 'late bloomer' where he realizes he has powers later in life because he'll be a hunter he can't tell anyone. The 'how powers are passed down' thing are debatable though and currently we're trying to figure it out. I feel like it if a vamp and werewolf have kids they can be a vamp or werewolf, hybrids /do/ sound too overpowered but maybe will be a rare occurrence. I'm just going with a A:TLA way of 'if a waterbender and firebender have kids they are either one or the other simple as that' just to keep things from being complicated, but of course when the kid grows up, even if they turn out to be a vamp and end up with another vamp, it could be said that because one parent was a werewolf there is a small chance of them still having a werewolf. Maybe /shrug/

24. Sep 24 2016, 11:02 PM EDT You learn to experiment, keep an open mind, even if an idea doesn't sound great if it's the only one you got who says it has to be bad or boring? You learn that making things up on the go and to just 'roll with it' can give you some of the best roleplays ever. I bookmark a lot of my fav rps and I still re-read them and they're my favorite stories, sometimes even those I didn't roleplay it. Roleplaying is great, I think it really help on learning to communicate and learning thing you might not learn in the real world - like Lorelei's original plot had failure to communicate and even thought we planned for her to kiss some other guy the way it plays out is still spontaneous, and comes out different. When you're really into a rp, you are your character, you see it from their mind and perspective, there's a shock, a little bit of fear of being confronted and then the 'what did you expect?' where neither of them outright say they were in the wrong and both fight and go through the emotions of it as if it were real. Good lord, I cannot and never will cheat, but roleplaying Lorelei's story is what makes it's so unique to me - it's a little bit of saying "i'd never do this is real life but this is what would happen and i can still learn from it just as if it were like a reading/listening to someone explain what it's like to go through it." In Lorelei's case there's the play that she is a demon and not in full control, some of it is insecurity, and the fear of - even if she changed her species and rid of those pressures- is it too late to change her personality because being promiscuous has become who she is. She relates a lot to human struggle and empathy and wanting to be reborn even suicide but in the end gets her second chance to be who she wants. There's a lot of dynamic to her and character development that came from nothing - i had no plans it was pure magic.

Sep 24 2016, 11:03 PM EDT I know that's a lot of text, but my point being is roleplaying is a nice way to learn things like reading or making up you're own fables with a 'life lesson' tied into it. Kinda... it's not always clear but im sure there is one in there. I think that is what I have learned from roleplaying so far.

Lol getting 'giddy'. Geez I remember just rping my first kiss as a some geeky 13 year old, I swear I lost it when I hit the post button like I felt my blood rush as if I made a mistake and wanted to change it. I don;t know why I thought the world would end. it was so relieving when I realize time didn't stop and the roleplay rolled with it like nothing really happened. That is how fu/cking weird I was and in general, most innocent, naive, virgin tweens. It's so hilarious to look back on though.

These are the two things that Wren thinks about the most whenever she is around anyone. She prefers to go climb a tree and read a book, to lie in bed and listen to music, to simply be alone. This young woman likes to keep her hair shoulder length and dyed black and blonde. A very sharp feature about her is her subtle red eyes. She secretly thinks they are the prettiest thing about herself. Wren has always been aware of her 'special powers' but doesn't use them unless she has to. Her older brother, Vao, always seems to be there to protect her, but they never talk much. He is always distant, and Wren is not the kind of girl to start a conversation. 39. Sep 25 2016, 2:13 PM EDT Terrified of Vao? Pfft he's like Sinister minus all the evil and smarts - so just a dopey goof who's rarely serious or sad because those emotions get bottled up. He only ignores Wren half the time cause they're related and he cant romantically be with her of course, and he doesn't know how to actually care for others like that whole' scared of commitment and stuff' but he does care and protect his family. I'm thinking for their story maybe their parents human x mutant but like arranged because the overall family wanted 'mutant hunters' or soldiers and their parents tried to escape and get them away from going up to become Hunters so they were killed off and Vao and Wren declared 'failures' in the experiment with Vao still becoming a hunter anyways to earn the trust of other Hunters and keep Wren safe and make sure they don't suspect her.
